I'm happy to wait until the right conditions and time available coincide.DrLightWind wrote:Sorry, I was waiting for the wind if I could give more testing report, ronnie wrote:Thanks DrLW,
From what I've read before, I would trust your reports on the Cloud.
The two wind readings I am most interested in is the wind where it will sit directly overhead without working it and the minimum relaunch wind.
I have found both are the same for my 13m Xbow.
The overhead one is one where it would be very easy to compare kites side by side. It could even be done on a beach and the two kiters could walk upwind or downwind to give an idea of what difference in windspeed was necessary to keep the two kites overhead.
For the relaunch, is it a normal relaunch by pumping two offset rear lines and then launching the kite off its side or have you tried rolling it over into the hot launch position and pumping it into the air?
This is what I would call a normal light wind relaunch, although it would be better done with a large twintip on your feet.
but no wind no success
The relaunch was normal and quick through the one of the rear line launching on its side,
just like on the video.
I didn't try hot launch on the trailing edge or reverse launch,
because I was interested riding the kite more than relaunching aspect.
The good news is that at the end of half an hour test,
I had a couple of gusts 12 - 13 mph and pulled like a truck,
appears to be with a higher bar pressure than my Speed3 Foil kites
One of my friend will continue the test next week when the wind will become favorable.
He is a creditable good test flyer who lofted a 100 feet, flown over the highway
meanwhile he was able to redirect the kite and landing safely at a beach #4 picture from top HERE!

Its when you want light steady wind - that it doesn't turn up.
Thanks for the feedback.
