Perhaps Naish has been following this thread and prepared a response 'for the haters' (5 days ago--I found this via Reddit):
I'm all for calling out bullshit claims, but too often these threads devolve into hyperbolic rants. But then, I guess that's what the internet is for. Regardless, can we put this topic to bed now?
My affiliation to Naish extends only the 24 metres of a lines/bar set I got off ebay. (120.45m if you lay it end to end.)

I'll reveal the real video,
BEfore naish 9 seconds
After naish effect ----> 14 seconds
So watch the original video.
Hey jbdc just compare to this video....in real time
Don't look at Naish's clock
Instead look at the time in lower bottom left corner...and time it yourself
Thanks for the pointer SupaEZ, I always enjoy your posts.
Fearing I'd posted the same video Diez13 had YouTubified, I took a closer look. Indeed the YouTube clock for Diez13's video counts just under 9 seconds. But similarly, the Vimeo clock on the Naish posted video counts 14.
Either way, it's a big lofty jump, and it's relatively easy to manipulate things like this these days. I thought I could throw some water on the flames, but I might have just thrown on some gasoline.
I'm not particularly concerned, I don't have a horse in this race.
Upon even further inspection: I'm an idiot and just reposted what was put-up by a Naish rep. last week:
10 pages just what Naish wants the kite is generating a lot of interest can't wait to try it as I'm sure the rest of you punters are eager to give it a go as well.Naish are the best when it comes to marketing their kites love your work Naish keep it up.
We'll have a 14m Draft here soon to test and get impressions against the other light wind and race kites we have -- the Zephyr, Edge, Fat Lady, and when it comes out, the Velocity.
No way will I be getting any 9 second boosts on any of those kites because crashing around here means crashing on ice -- all our lakes have a foot of ice on them.

I figured it out how to make EVERYBODY happy ....
Simply take You Tube 9 seconds + Vimeo 14 seconds = 23 seconds
Divide by 2....and you get a very acceptable awesome average...... 11.5 seconds jump
It is always better to come to an agreement and settle out of court
Hi guys - we just got the first batch of Naish Drafts in and I have been out testing them out over the last couple of days. Check out the full review here: http://www.realwatersports.com/2014-naish-draft-kite.

Nice. Just what I would expect from the kite. Did you guys ever ride the charger? How does it compare?
I am guessing the smaller sizes could drift well in waves though?
Good eyes funalex! We noticed that right when we first launched it and switched it round before going on the water!

Tautologies, the big difference is in the shape of the wingtips. The Charger had curved, pointy wingtips that made it look more like a delta kite. It was also wider in the middle (longer struts) which made the Charger a good all round kite. The Draft is definitely pretty specific in its range of use - big air and race.
