Broken ankle

Postby rightguard » Wed Mar 27, 2013 8:29 am

So I helped a guy out of the water today that broke his ankle. I guess he was riding strappless and just landed bad.

My real question is... Do strappless riders see broken ankles? I wouldn't have thought so before today but now it really makes me think what is worse TT or strapless?

I would assume straps...or even worse...1 strap.

I would have thought straps would be worse until I saw this plus there was a guy on the beach that had done the same thing...

I was thinking if the board falls away from you and then you land on it, maybe that is worse than having a hard strapped landing.

best way to break an ankle strapless is shallow water lose the board, land on the bottom BAM
