I can't figure out how to unhook and do tricks on the skate because I always have to be so over powered to ride. Could this be because i'm so small or am I doing something wrong? thx

hey Jessica, I find it has allot to do with the boards rocker. You want flatter to make it easier to stay upwind, and take less load off the boards drag. I use the new airush skate, great rocker and perfectly weighted IMO. Other than that, just bear down wind when u unhook it will just pull you along like a cable would.
good luck

And I find taking the fins out definatly helps "scoop" the board out easier for tricks

This is the Cabrihna Wake Skate. It doesn't come with fins & it's pretty heavy. I find if I'm not over powered to the tits I can't even get out of the water. I have no problem going up wind or doing little things like pop shovit's but i'm lost as to unhook with it. I guess i'll try going way down wind. Thanks for the help
