Hello Daniele.
Thanks for the info, and for your repport!
Funny, we seem to have 2 things in common: our kite level when we get to Tarifa (land most of my jumps, but still struggling with air transition). And the fact that we're location independent (both my wife and I are working from home). Finally, we thought about staying in Tarifa for a mont to test that...
I was surprised to see how little you paid (or were supposed to pay) for rent and car...
But since I am going with family, in mid-season (October), the price I got (850€ for 2 bedroom flat near Los Lances Beach) seems good too. For pedestrial mobility, I wanted something on the first line, right between the old town and the newer buildings around the stadium and Mercadona.
But no crazy offer for car rental though. For a month, the best I found was a little over 400€... But it is still a better deal than what I found before checking out local companies, based on your advice. The original plan was to rent a car for the first 10 days ( I would have to return it to Algeciras: no rental office in Tarifa), and then we would be on foot...
The thing is that I have more constraints: beside taking care of our baby, I need to be connected from 8 to 5... So I would have taken the first week off, when we would visit around. And then since I'll be working most of the time, a car would just sit in the parking lot. We would then concentrate on Tarifa, and I would hopefull catch some wind in the evening, and the Week-end.
Does all that seem feasible, or am I dreaming, and given that I find a cheap enough rental car, you would advise me keep it the entire month?
Also, I thought of bringing only a 12m, but from what you've reported, I should get my 8m too (though I'll have to get it sent from home), right?
I counted on riding with Poniente wind only (not confident enough to ride offshore), but I guess that given the small windows of opportunites I'll have, I better go with everything I got...
If anyone else is reading this post and have some tips, please feel free to answer
Thanks!
