Nah mate. You have straps on your prosthetics. To be in with this crew you need to ditch the legs and ride ya stumps..... anything less will be considered strapped in....

Or just bring 2 boards to the beach. I ride strapless when there are waves and straps when its flat and i just want to freestyle, or if I'm up in the inlets where losing your board could be dangerous. Best this about kiting is the versatility, you can do 3 totally different styles in 1 day and never get bored.
Although after recently injuring my ankle trying some unhooked stuff strapped, I think I am going to focus more on strapless rotations for awhile.
Hi. Strapless or strap in.....never mind! I usually ride strapless or strap in but for real air, also in big surf, I always ride strap in. One of the best and exciting part of this sport is using a large wave like a ramp for a very big air and seeing it breaking from the sky. The pic below shows better the concept. The best option is having two surfboards on the beach for strapless and strap in riding.
Cheers

What the f*** does age have to do with riding with or without straps?
Not sure the original intention of this post, but personally don't care who rides what or how as long as they don't interfere with me.
I also don't see what age has to do with it, I'm 49 and ridden strapless last 5 yrs and personally never use straps as I move all over the board.
Interesting comments on ankle injuries, as did my left one 3 weeks ago and can't ride at the moment. Boosting big airs for 90 mins, thought I would do one more then go in, and wham, landed badly and went right over on it. Damaged front, side and Achilles tendon.
So whatever you ride take care, from now on I will be strapping my ankles up.
