I currently ride a 2011 crazy fly raptor pro ltd 136x41.That was the largest size in 2011. Has anyone tried both boards, they look similar. I'm thinking about a new board slightly larger and I love my cf. Rode undergrounds for years and always loved those flxs and styx. I'm 220 lbs and thinking of the 140 x 43 size. How do the axis boards hold up? I broke 3 of my undergrounds but that was back in 2006-2010.My 2011 cf is still holding up fine with the exception of scratched up base.Tough to decide by just looking at data. Low end ,smooth landings at high speeds, top end, smoothness through chop, pop etc. Thanks

Yeh I have ridden both back to back. My bro is still on the ltd CF. Both excellent boards, so it wouldn't really matter which one you go for...for what you describe anyway. The axis board is slightly shifted a tad more along the freestyle spectrum. Just that little more extra grip for load and pop but still very useable for freeride comfort. Let's put it this way, it's wasn't enough of a difference for my brother to consider changing (although he liked it a lot) and it was too 'soft' for me. Like my rails more square.
Hope this helps.
Ps oh the axis footstraps 2014 are just awesome...

I've got the Axis 140x43... excellent freeride board for me, great fun. I find it to have excellent bottom end too, at the expense of being a little harder work to hold down when really powered... tempted to go 2 sizes down for another board

Has anyone used the 2013 and 2014 axis ltd? Some good deals on the 2013,straps are reported to be sub-par though. Wondering if changes in 2014 are all that evident.
