Second hand twin tip advice?

Hi, I'm looking to get a twin tip after a few years of not owning one. Just hoping some "riders" can give me some pointers as I'm well out of the loop with them?
I tried a nobile light wind board over the weekend, although it was a bit lame at most things when the wind picked up, I had some fun, I coudn't get over it's light wind capability!
I'm 85kg ride in the UK south coast, looking for something that can get me up wind with a bit of pop, but not to much of a harsh ride in the wind chop. I always used to prefer a softer edge so maybe a bit of comprimise on the pop!

I'm from the UK South Coast too, same weight as you, mainly into strapless surfboards. I only own one twin tip to jump on medium to high winds = choppy waters. I find the Wainman Blunt 135 to work great for this. The wood core gives it a good natural flex, the tip profile cuts through the white water brilliantly also minimising spray. I've only upgraded the original pads as although super comfy are just a tad too slippery..
Only downside is limited upwind capability in low winds, due to its pronounced rocker.

You wont go wrong with a Shinn board..I would say for you

Red - will get you back in the saddle with ease
Dundee - a refined ride but no OAP
Monk - the allround hooligan does it all

all eat the chop and are great on the knees, 42cm width will be nice for you to cover lighter days, should be plenty demos your way..
