Hey hello guys, I'm looking to buy a new kite but I need some help
I have a Wainman 2.0 Boss and really like it, the other kite I had is a Core Combat 2009.
I'm learning to unhook and do some hooked-in tricks. I like to surf some waves too.
I'm not sure if I should buy another Boss or the Dice 2014 or the Rebel 2014
What's the major difference between them?
Will the Dice or the Rebel handle the same windrange the Boss does?
What would you do?
sorry for my bad english, hope you understand

North makes great kites but I would stick with Wainman! They just make awesome kites and are amazing allrounders!

freestyle-wakestyle, unhooked, tricks and waves are all in the dice territory mate! I second westozzy. I fly Rebels but these are for pure hooked in freeride, air boosting and waves.. Not unhooked tricks. I assume you ride twintips and not surfboards? The Wainman are also excellent kites though especially the latest rabbit gang 3.0 which might be worth looking at, the smaller ones are known to perform so much better than the boss..
My two cents.

sorry for lack of experience but i don't get the difference between hooked-in and unhooked tricks
I mean, I can't do hooked-in tricks with the same kite i do unhooked?
What u mean with air boosting?
Why north more famous than wainman?
Thanks for the help, think I'm going to stick with the Wainman although my friends told it's hard to unhook on them

Ernesto...if you ask those questions you probably are at an experience level in which you are not going to notice any difference in the various kites. Nothing wrong with it, but really you are not going to notice, so choose whatever best deal you find or whatever graphics you like most.
Having ridden all the 3 kites i would personally choose a Dice, but only because i hate the 5th line on the Rebel. If you don't mind with it, then the Rebel is in my opinion a much better all-rounder than the boss.

At first you can do hooked-in and unhooked tricks with any kites. Some kites just are easier/better in both or either of those.
Boosting air = getting huge airs hooked-in.
If you have a spec is to have a kite for hooked-in, un-hooked riding and waves. Then in North line up you have the Dice that ticks the unhooked and waves and would be ok for hooked-in. Instead of Rebel I would check Evo 2014 or when the 2015 comes out. Evo would be good for you in the hooked-in and unhooked and in waves. The differences are that Dice is a bit better unhooked, but Evo would be better boosting bigger airs hooked-in. Also Evo has bigger windrange and better low end for a same size of a kite. Dice or Evo in waves is a personal matter of your style. Either riding more just waves power with better drifting Dice or maybe riding the wave a bit more with kites power when Evo could be better.
Anyway I am sure you would enjoy both of those kites.

If you have any doubt about what the Wainman does well, look at some video.
Was designed to be an all around kite, but to be very good in waves and for unhooked tricks.
The Boss is not holding you back.
