Ive put my zeeko white and blue on the happy pill
I started it out on a mhl lift board witch worked good for me in light wind and learning
But now i ride it on the happy pill board
Still some volume there for touchdowns but feels smaller and has less swing wight

Hollow piece would have been as strong but shed half the weight... Speaking of lack of attention to detail, the front wing leading edge is [relatively] sharp but the rear wing LE is blunt. It should be industry standard for beginner foil not to have any sharp leading edges (not to mention that with bulbous nose and blunt wing LE performance may actually increase).

This is the weight of Mast PLUS Baseplate. Mast alone is about 1,5 kg.

Ignore this comment for many reasons, any of these others are much better :thumb:
Revhed, C'mon, now I have to say, it has become ridicoulous :(

You apparently have some aversion against almost everything from US ?

But please stop putting this personal bias into this site, it has become a soap opera now, of the worst kind

You have lost track of the important details, and let your bias dictate to write something like above, on most posts about LF, made in this forum.

The Happy Foil is actually a light and fast and well designed foil, compared to many others - and good details others havent made yet, too.

I have nothing for nor against LF or others, but try to stay as objective as possible.

The US way of making PR are simply  :x :o at least to most europeans, I agree with that, but we all know that is the american way of marketing so be it, they still make so many awesome products.

The LF foils in general, was the first newer foils available at a very reasonable price - noone else did the same, and it has truly contributed to hydrofoiling becoming even more popular now, no matter what one thinks of the design :thumb:

So would just say it like it is - that you seem to be carried away a bit over the top, particularly with LF for some reason

I decided to go with the SS and Zeeko combo - since I'm a bigger guy at 6'2" / 220 lbs and my area gets a lot of light wind, the high volume board sounds like it would be good for learning. The seller included 2 masts (60 and 90 cm) so should be able to progress with this setup. Sure I'll eventually want a smaller / lighter board but this one hopefully should serve well for now. It should be arriving towards the end of the week.

I'm stoked to finally give foiling a try. Thanks to all who offered advice. :thumb:

Wait a bit -- Axis has a new aluminum foil/G10 wings on the way. It's excellent...much lighter than the SS too.

Why is your opinion any better? You quit in less time than it takes someone to watch an episode of Seinfeld
