Peter Lynn News:

Escape V6

Escape Sizes: 5 / 7 / 9 / 11 / 13 / 15 / 17m
17 is not available for a little while.

The Escape is built for ambitious riders who want to amp up their ride.

Its C-shaped design gives it the ideal freestyle and wakestyle performance profile. The Escape V6 is the ultimate freestyle machine that can pull you through some serious megaloops. It offers a complete package of great line slack and explosive pop, great hangtime and soft landings.

Specific traits of multiple design shapes were combined to make the V6 Escape into the hard poppin’, big boostin’ freestyle machine it is. The Escape is a modern C-shape design that delivers explosive power in a smooth and controllable way and offers performance for both hooked & unhooked freestyle tricks.

Its deep profile gives the kite a lot of grunt without sacrificing the upwind performance. This ensures you can stay in the competition box to perform more tricks during your heat.

For the first public appearance of the Escape V6, we’ve chosen the 2017 Red Bull King of the Air contest in South Africa. This was a great opportunity to show off the Escape’s potential and performance. It was at the KOTA that Willem van der Meij put the kite through its passes and showed the world that the V6 Escape jumps massive and loops like a rollercoaster.

The features of the Escape V6 were designed to suit the needs of freestyle fanatics. Solid, powerful turns, no back stall and responsive control make the Escape v6 the ultimate choice for the aspiring competition rider. For advanced riders the Escape can handle a lot of wind and can be pushed to extremes in its higher wind range.

Had a 7m for a while, Not radically different from the Escape v5, little tweaks in the right places. Nice inflation valve upgrade, prefer it to the previous one. Fun kite to loop and handles a lot of wind! Noticed a cleaner canopy on those big loops, less fluttering. Need to get my hands on bigger sizes in more "normal" winds...

Wanted to see how the Escape v6 looped in strong winds... had some pretty crazy conditions on this particular day. I decided to go to a small lagoon to soften the landings and throw some loops. Got quite sketchy as the wind just went ballistic. The guy filming on the beach was battling to stand so the footage is a little off. But thought it was worth an edit anyway...
That's a 7m by the way just to give you an idea of how much wind there was.
Solid kite

Having a blast in Sardinia on the bigger Escape v6 sizes (9m, 11m, 15m)

So far have had some nice sessions with the 11 and 9. 11m has some good hang time for old school stuff and the 9m loops fast enough.
Such a smooth ride! Canopy modifications just behind the leading edge have contributed to a stable and solid kite.

Will be testing the 15m in the next few weeks.
