I am a 13 US, but always buy 14 US shoes b/c I've got wide feet. I lucked into a used board with Slingshot pads and straps and I absolutely love them. My cabrinha H1's just hurt. Absolutely love these!

Thank you badgb21, nothing2seehere, iriejohn and lovetheprick. It helps a lot.
I'm adding SS, Nobile, Crazyfly and North to the 'list'. North are advertized as max EUR46 though.

Thanks +++++++ again!

Hey matey .

I've had similar problems with my 13US feet.

I've tried a bunch of different straps and finally found the right ones.
My opinion.... id prefer to have comfy straps on a crappy board, then bad fitting straps on a good board.

I mostly ride boots, but my Twinny with straps uses SHINN straps. These bad boys are really plain & simple. No fancy super adjustable nonsense...... Just super thick, very comfy straps that lock your feet in.
I swear.... They're like a sofa for your feet.
I picked mine up for $80aud.

The Naish apex straps were terrible.
The Velcro didn't have enough surface area to grip, and every few minutes is have to reset them. I had less than half inch of Velcro touching. they also have a hard piece of plastic that digs into the side of your foot when you ride them loose (the slingshot bindings were the same)

Xenon make some nice ones too. Those bad boys are super soft.

Personally.... I like my foot pad to be really soft. I find they mould around my foot really nicely and give me far more grip.

Don't worry about all the fancy bindings with all the extra adjustment. I've bought them and tried them thinking that if I spend an extra $100 then they have to be a better fit.
They're really not!!

Go get some big ol SHINN bindings.
You can thank me later!!

As a cyclist/runner and long distance enthousiast, I agree ++++ : contact points are super important.

Thanks Ragzilla!
I would love if you could post a picture of your foot in the binding (like above). I can pm you my email address so that's easier for you if you have a smart phone.

How old are your bindings (generation?)? Do you know by chance if it compatible with other board brands? I read somewhere that "the/a" standard is 15,23cm but I don't know if it is used by all the companies or not, and since when (I have also read that there were compatibilities issues in the past).

I am new to the sport, so any information is good to have!
Thanks again to all.

Ragzilla, any link to a Shinn strap, I'd like to look at them?

Here's an image of what I like about straps having big feet:

I , (Had) really big feet ; now i can swap them out for any size i want !

The trick i used before i lost my real feet, was to find the best padded stock
set of straps, i could find so the top of my foot wouldn't get stressed ; to make them fit
i tossed the stock screws that hold them to the board and got longer ones , and
placed Delrin or nylon spacer-washers between the top of the foot-strap and the
board, (to make them larger / longer).

Measure Very careful that the screw is not so long that it de-laminates the bottom
of the board , when tightened ; you may need to file the new screws a bit, or get
thicker spacers.
