The new generation dont seem to give so much of a crap about what someone else thinks is legit...
same for older generations. but you gotta explain that to Starsky.
Told ya...never will get it...waist of time.
But whatever, I am sure your legacy has more fans than mine.

nik jacobsen is a great example of a good role model i reckon in freestyle, new ideas, progression, not give a f%$ attitude, no tall poppies syndrome... today. Wakestyle is so sick but progression wise it's way of thinking (trying to be exactly wakeboarding - same 10 tricks over and over and over again...) has killed it dead for a long time.. and it is sooooo dull...and unprogressive.. even more so with WKL
that is what makes surfboard freestyle real interesting - new ideas - new firsts - progression.. and when i saw sam light bag it on his kiteworld interview (if he was serious?!) i was like .. here we go again - tall poppies syndrome strikes back.. I have ridden with airton and he is one seriously sick rider, as is matchu who was at my local kiting a few weeks ago absolutely killing it.
I would say landing a strapless frontroll to 360 late shuv takes a lot more skill that most wake tricks - which is why only a few people in the world can land them.

Ride and have fun however you want. Just dont try and convince everybody that you are the bomb!!!! Especially if what you do is mega kooky and kinda weird.
Sick strapless move!!!
