Hi, Get the 11m not the 13 or 15. The lift:drag ratio is better the smaller you go. I know "Oldpeople" will disagree.
My wife on her old 11 Edge on a 128cm board could have a good session in 14 knots, and on my 140cm a good one in 12 knots.
Now I have been married to her for 32 years, and I don't know what she weighs, its one of life's great mysteries, but its more than 130#.
All you V9 testers and riders, PLEASE try the shortest setting on the steering lines. Most kites trim right when they do NOT backstall at full power full bar kite overhead.
Speaking from personal experience, I like mine to back stall, not badly, but just start moving back at full-full. They fly very well, and will not give you problems at this setting. The looser setting makes me feel somewhat detached from the kite. Once you are moving, and they are fast, the apparent wind moves forward and the extra angle of attack of the tightest/shortest setting is an advantage. They are super responsive, and a bar-out has more than enough depower for any move. In 15+ knots at full out trim, I like to be able to kite with the bar all the way out and hands off, like behind my head. The Edge is unlike anything else you have ridden, and benefits from a different technique. I am comparing to various kites, Advance, North Rebel,Vegas, Cabrinha SB, Naish Park and Pivot, Best, Core XR3/4, RRD, Ocean Rodeo, and a few more that I cant remember. The V9 has higher bar pressure than V8 and earlier.
