Same, didn't really notice much noise. I had more noise on the blue wing, and even more when I had a few scratches on the tips of that wing.

I was experimenting on how slow I could go in a straight line without coming off the foil yesterday, got down to 17km/h and felt I could have gone a lot slower.
It is a carving machine.

Anyone have any experience with riding spitfire with a pocket board? How's the ride?

What size of pocket board? I rode it with my DIY 110 x 46cm, 3.5 cm thick board. Works fine just like any other foil. Now I use Levitaz Exo that is little bigger at 125 x 43 x 4. Riding Spit for a first time with standard wings may feel a bit more difficult to make foot switch on because of its soft "nose dive" - you need to speed up your foot change. So having small board may not be the best as you may perl easy. Once you get more familiar with it, pocket board is great. Thanks to smaller swing weight it makes Spitfire even more lively

Team Spitfire, there has been mention in this thread of plugging the mast to prevent it filling with water. I am sure that you all experience it but I have not yet read of any experiences from anyone who has plugged. It seems to me that some Sikaflex or Simson would be effective in keeping the water out. Paradoxically, my Manta with a similar mast does not seem to fill up the same as the Spit.
Hoping to hear some experiences, opinions or ideas but I am about ready to plug.

People have plugged their masts with the two part putty epoxy tubes. I haven't yet because I'm worried it might leak and I also don't feel like disassembling the base plate.

I would go with the sikaflex or 3M 4200, sealants that flex and theoretically tolerate thermal expansion and contraction of the aluminum, instead of hard epoxy that may be more likely to leak.
But.
In spite of all the ideas written online and in manuals about this subject, I cant remember hearing of many cases of a sealed mast leaking. So I wonder how big a problem this is. Specially since my second hand Al mast is sealed, looks like with Marine Tex or some other putty epoxy. It hasn't gained weight, broken or made any sloshing sounds, so I figure it's good. For now at least!

Many fun hours now on XLW and it has made my other foils nearly obsolete for our conditions and my riding style. I've been pushing the low end speed/lift in the transitions and can almost come to a full stop and whip the foil in the opposite direction at the last second without coming off the foil it is super stable and forgiving. I also found out that this foil feels comfortable when fully lit. the other day the wind picked up while I was on 12M the wind picked up a lot sand started blowing on the beach not sure how windy it was but could have easily been on much smaller kite. It was getting late though and I couldn't be bothered to change kites and the Spitfire handled it well.
My biggest gripe is the aluminum assembly and weight. now my pocket board (Temevento) weighs half of what the spitfire does.
come on Zeeko you know this is your best most fun freestyle foil so please make a carbon version or upgrade. oh and if possible don't lose the open plate for quick removal

Tell us more about the board, where did you get it?
