Trying to identify model

Postby farmless » Wed Sep 06, 2017 2:29 am

So I saved this from certain death and am quite positive i might die trying to use it. Id really like to know the model so I can go about selling/trading this kite to someone who will use it.

If anyone knows and feels like helping please dont hesitate to comment.

cabrinha phased out recon system because it was unsafe sometime around 2006. Looks to be either a 2005 or 2006 Cabrinha CO2 14 meter. Brand new it cost $2,000 but today it is worth between $10 and $100. You never know, someone might want an old cabrinha, put it on ebay see what it fetches. Make sure to blow it up, it's important to know if the valves leak or not. You can buy a dual action airpump that will have the correct attachments to test if it holds air. If it doesn't hold air it won't be worth anything just throw it out. I really did like those older cabrinhas and wouldn't mind buying another vintage kite. Make sure when you list it, you show the kite fully inflated so people know it holds air. There's a stopper to prevent air getting out, so to deflate you pinch the valve.

says so on the bag;-)
CO2 14. Should be 2004/2005?
Please destroy it so you can prevent someone else from hurting himself. G

I read 05 in the serial number...so I assume it's a 2005.
But actually doesn't matter...it's old and it's value very low if any. It has more value making a bag or jacket out of it

I had a co2 black tip in 2001. Don't reckon they got any safer.....make a bag with it!

It's a Cabrinha CO2 from 2005, I recognize the bag.

I wonder if you could fly these on newer equal-line-length bars? I have my 12m still in crisp condition somewhere in the garage without bar - would be fun to give it a go and see how it flies :-D

The kite I learned on! CO2 with Recon2 system. I liked it and never hurt myself! (that said, I only owned it about 6 months before buying a more modern Omega HD). Relaunch wasn't best but it flew great.
