- Local Beach: not enough experience to have a local beach
- Favorite Beaches: I'm from canada and as a beginner went to cap hatteras to get good conditions. but conditions were only good for sun tan. No wind, so so far, i dont have a favorite beach.

Hi there. I've been in Cap Hatteras Kite Point on september 5th. I'm a beginner. I did a pretty stupid mistake. I left the beach without my board, and of course didnt even think about marking it with my name or email. I didn't plan to leave it behind. Anyhow!! It's a Slingshot Glide 159cm 2016 blueish. If readers from over there hear anything about that. There was a few locals overthere when i left so i'm sure it is still near by. But i'm canadian. Thank you all. If you think of any other way of investigating, feel free to share. And yes, i know it's pretty stupid......

Heading down in a week. If you get a lead on it let me know. I could bring it back. I work for AC so may even help with delivery.
Good luck.

ikitesurf.com has a "lost & found" section. You might want to post your board there, too.

I did the same thing, and have also found 3 boards floating in the sound or in the marsh. So do not feel that bad, you are not the first. Definitely email all the shops, people often turn them in.

This story does not help you, but it is an extreme example. A few years ago met a cardiologist from Atlanta and his brother in Cape Hatteras on the beach and we ended up doing a short downwinder together. Guy loses his board, a black carbon mucho-expensive board. I see it in the waves on one pass, but can't find it again despite lots of searching in the waves. Brother gives him his board to finish the downwinder. I get the guys phone number. Later that day I'm coming in from kiting in place at the beach we started (sandy bay, also known as Isabel's), and a woman comes up to me with the board, havng found it on the beach far downwind, beyond Hatteras launch site at the Graveyard museum, asking if there is any way I would be able to get it back to its owner. I said "hard to believe, but I was kiting with the owner and have his phone number". She called him and he came and got it. Happy ending. hope yours is too.
