Great story.

Swimming in cold waters for 2 hours is also a challenge...drowning happens fast.

Glad he is ok.

Am I doing something wrong? The Daily Mail photos has a guy on with a seat on his hydrofoil flying a single line kite?

That's some awesome reporting right there... They probably googled hydrofoil and a guy on his Airchair popped up not knowing the difference.

I’ve already used mine to find my wife when see aborted our ocean downwinder half way into our run. It was sick to iMessage her and find out what street she was at for pickup. It sure beats kiting with a huge, expensive, cell phone around your neck.

Its a game changer! My wave riding has improved to high levels of magnitude since ditching my old school equipment and upgrading. :thumb:

A Marine handheld radio would get the coast guard on Channel 16 with backup being a cellphone in a waterproof case (decent sized battery and antenna). Cell phone reception gets dodgy from the water surface offshore. I can't understand why someone would rely on a iwatch of all things for beyond end of season funky wind outer harbor foiling.
