Put a drone at 20m high (use laser distance meter to set height) and film distant horizon (not a treeline close to site). Every kiter above horizon level of drone's video is higher than 20m.

Good idea (height could even be set via the drone GPS), but will not work in 40kn :D

GPS is too inaccurate for height measurement and it measures from WGS-84 geoid so you need two inaccurate measurements first the sea level and then jumps, and GPS height accuracy changes over time as birds fly in space. Barometer is better if that is available.

High wind: Use ladder/pole/measured tree/building anything. But the key thing is to film to open sea like 40km horizon distance. From camera lens to horizon is a plane of same height and you don't have to aim camera's frame to horizon in the middle. Add more cameras like every meter for more measurements. Or use construction level laser(s) at 'trigger' heights and some reflector at kiter and film reflects.. There are options and probably cameras are the easiest for enough accuracy.

I don't care about exact measurements I just want a video that really gives justice to how high these jumps are, I don't care if it's 20 meters or 30 meters, it's ridiculous.

Drone is a good idea. Plant the drone at about 15 meters, so it's just below the kite, then have the kiter jump up past the drone, and have the drone track the kiter as he goes past. I think that might do it.

I agree 100%. Its a high jump. I think that should be about it when it comes to claims.

A cheaper way to go, would be to put a 10m PL venom, on 20 meter lines
with a goPro attached ; and anchor it . When i fly that kite on the dry-lake
with my buggy , i don't bother to land it at lunch time ; just
hook the CL to my bumper, and the damn thing just sits there at zenith. Any
wind between 10k to 35kt will work, (gusts don't seam to bother it) much
it just stays put and self corrects !!

Oh yeah the auto-zenith, did not remember that. Of course any cheaper kite capable of carrying action camera would be fine. But maybe Venom keeps zenith better on gusts that one-line kite, meaning kite height staibility is better.
