Just had my first ride on my 8m V9. 30-35 knots.
Got my personal best woo height with 19 meters and 12.6 seconds hangtime.
Now that I have had quite a few sessions on them I will be making a review video, but here are a few things first off.
1) It is easier to jump higher on the V9 than the V8, especially when really powered up. For one it turns faster which gives you more pop and height. Also the more stable leading edge make a difference. With my V8s I had to be careful when powering the kite up in a very loaded jump. If I pulled to hard the wing tips would bend and the kite would loose power and would not rip you off the water. The V9 holds it shape no matter how aggressively I pulled the bar in during the jump, which translated in to more upwards acceleration.
2) The V9 feels safer in gusty conditions. I had the 8m out in Sotavento, which is one of (if not the) most gusty places in the world, and I felt super safe all the times. The kites loops very predictably, which is great when using loops to catch yourself after being dropped after a gust. Also it did not bounce around at the edge of the window like my V8s do in these conditions.
