So the few reviews I've seen of the new Core XR5 all mention increased bar pressure.
How much more bar pressure does it have?
I know the reviews all tend to gloss over or hide any negatives, so if they mention increased bar pressure, it could mean that it's really high.
Any real riders not affiliated with the brand or a store have any comments on the XR5's bar pressure?

Used to ride Core kites and one of my biggest pet peeves was there wasn't enough bar pressure. I like to know where the kite is and when it moves without having to look at it. If anything the added bar pressure is an improvement.

My impression initially was higher bar pressure as well. But there is the setting on the wing tip. I've put it on lightest on my XR4's so I had to do it as well on the 12m XR5 but decided to leave it in the medium (factory default) on the 9m. I think the XR5's just simply pull more and that might add to the increase pressure feeling. They got this urge to pull and jump, it is hard to describe. It's more that the kite IS different than the XR4 in general. Hope this helps.

If you're worried about bar pressure then maybe you need to start lifting weights.

Hey,
Been riding the xr5 9m on the past two weeks or so, 16 to 25 knots, medium settings - bar pressure is not high at all.. (coming from gts4)
This kite is more lively than the xr4 in my opinion, great handling and quick enough for powered looping
