There is no reason why you can't, I have a mate that kites on his Axis 920 SUP foil.
I'm just out of the beginner foiler stage & have decided I'm going to get a prone surfing foil set up, maybe a Naish Comet with a size L thrust foil (70cm mast). Then I can paddle prone/surf or kite in light wind. Will probably sell my bigger Drifters & just keep my 8m.
I've ridden that foil with the kite, and I own the 820 and 720 wings. As I've probably said 100 times now, even at my weight I find an 8m kite to be ample for all but the lightest and most boring wind.

But while an 8m might work, life is too short to settle for “ample”. While I respect the skill in ampling it out, why not charge it with a bigger kite? To each his/her/zir(1st time used!) own...

Cos I simply want as little power from the kite as possible. Just enough to get onto the board, get upwind then ride the board downwind. With the wing I have, I need very little power to do so. Too much power from the kite means I have to ride against the pull from the kite and that spoils the aesthetic for me

anyone know if the wings are compatible 2019 and 2018?
I ride the Shinn mega K and the naish xl - and I want to go even bigger - btw these foils are great fun for kiting - esp when teamed up with the 12m ultra.

Yes all Naish wings should make the cross-over years nicely. So if you have 2018 wings they will work with 2019 bars and mounts. And 2019 wings should work with 2018 bars and mounts.
The new abracadabra system is pretty awesome. Great addition. They also added a lot of instructions to the wings and bar to make sure things are mounted the right way. Very good additions. The new kite wing is awesome.
