Anyone kiting in the Sinai Peninsula?

Postby athen » Tue Dec 19, 2017 7:56 pm

Hi everybody!

Anyone of you know how are the kitesurfing conditions (in terms of safety, schools, facilities) of Sharm El Sheikh area in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt?

Years ago I was used to go there for kiting in between Sharm and Dahab, but now after that bad terrorist attack on the Russian plane I never went there anymore.
I heard all European schools were closed in Sharm El Sheikh and all the area almost lifeless (no tourism).

But I was wondering how is it now? it was nice there for kitesuring

I don't think there is too much kiting in Sharm.

The two big kite spots on Sinai are Dahab and Ras Sudr. I haven't been there since the airplane bombing but I would imagine things would still be going full swing there.

There is also great kiting off of Sinai around Hurghada.
