Gunnar,
What's the comparable size between HL and the Chrono V3? 12/11?
If I'm replacing my 12 single strut lei for Hydrofoiling. 8-12 knots conditions. ( Not 6 knots! )
80kg on Moses foils. 590 wing in light wind, 550 wing otherwise.
Next kite down would be 9m single strut LEI with good power.
Hi Tom,

The 11 ChronoV3 will cover the range of the 12m HLv1. Another option would be going for the 13m ChronoV3, as it will give you a lot more low end with about the same amount of high end as the HL.

Thanks Gunnar,

How much wind can I realistically hold the 13m on Hydrofoil? I am intermediate foiler.
And quiver of Chronos would be 13-9 m ?
Then how much top end wind can I hold 9 ?

Depends a bit on how long your lines are. But on the standard 25m lines you should be able to comfortably hold the 13 on a Foil until 15 knots. The 9m you should be able to hold into the early 20s. It really depends on how good a foiler you are.

I personally still comfortably fly the 9m in 25-30 knots on short lines.

What about shorter lines hydrofoil freerace quiver for 85kg from really light winds to say 25knots gusts. Is it 11m and 15m ?

Thanks Gunnar, you are a wealth of knowledge.

Sounds like a 13-9 quiver and 25m +" short line" bar would cover me for 90% of my foiling.
What are your short lines?

Define really light winds and how short lines? With the current race lengths (10 to 12m lines) you would probably need the 18m for your weight if you wanted to get going 6-8 knots.

My short lines are 12m for big kites (15-19m2) and 10m lines for smaller kites.

Total line length incl Bar/trim/leaders or only the lines themself? I am now on 14m total length on the 17-20m and 11m on the smaller sizes. Even 18m lines feels really slow and draggy now :)

Gunnar do you use such short lines all the time or just for foiling? How about light wind riding the 13m on either a twin tip or surfboard?
