I noticed you bounce a lot in your stretches. I was taught this is very bad for your ligaments, and only to do slow extensions. Is there a new recommendation for doing it your way?

Yes, kind of soft bounces especially for the upper limbs "Arm reach". It can be negative for the tendon - ligaments of course if you do this in the hardest way, so start with soft ballistic movement. Moreover, if you are doing freestyle unhooked moves, you will be exposed to hard pulls by the control bar, with sometimes your arm in your back. That's why we decided to include this movement in the warm-up, but in a soft way !

Have not had time to read the ebook there but, As a motocross rider I am following these routines, which clearly states no Bouncing. Even with kiting pulling while being unhooked i dont think Bouncing will bring anything good with it ..

This is really fucking annoying. Your warmup has no more value than vigorously pumping up your kite and being a bit energetic while rigging up. Waste of time.

Worse is that because it's an iBook, I now have your shit publication in my iCloud library forever. I know that is Apple's fault and I know I can hide iCloud books but it's still part of the internet cancer where shit builds up. You could have chosen any other method to publish so that people could look at it without inflicting your stupid iBook on people. Grrrrrr.

I don't believe in it.

Do you ever see a lion warming up before it takes down a gazielle? What about a grizzly bear doing stretches before it mauls a big fish?

I do not need to do anything before I kite....

Thats because you cruise back and forth in a line with an occasional 1m jump to ass landing, hardly a physical activity at all... So.. Correct.. You dont need any warmup sir.. Carry on..

Thanks for the feedback guys !
For the bounces (only one ballistic movement), it's a sport specific exercise (handle passes specific) so you don't need to compare with an other discipline which is totally different.
For the rest, warming up is important to prevent injuries and to ride in a better way.
If you don't like it or think you don't need to warm-up, just don't do it and delete it from your iTunes librairy

I am interested but I don't use iTunes, how about some more universal format like pdf?

Stretch if you have mobility problems irrelevant of whether you are going surfing. Stretching prior to anaerobic work out generally reduces your maximum power output and has no effect on amount of injuries.
