Don't forget also increased volume when AR is reduced and airfoil proportions are static. With that there is increased inertia from increased mass, structural rigidity from size, and slower speed from a less efficient shape, all combine to give the properties of what is called more stable.

I don’t normally fly Foil kites , my normal kites are Ozone Reo’s.
But I was out today on my new 12M Soul in very light winds and a foil board and all I can say is wow !

For a non foil kite flyer it’s so easy and forgiving and just what I wanted for light wind Hydrofoil days .

No wing tucking, relauchable and very stable

Awesome kite 👍

what's the low wind (steady wind) for foiling with 12m Soul and foil, please? And what's your weight?

Hi OMG , I’m 83 KG and was on a Moses 550 wing and T40 Board .
The wind was about 6-8 MPH

The kite only drifted to the water when the wind dropped to nothing.

I took the 15m FS Soul on the snow today. Wind was blowing 8 to 12 mph. Normally, i would fly an 18m Sonic 2 in wind that light.

I really liked the dual port inflation, kite inflated quickly compared to the Sonic 2. I liked how easy the kite was to loop and the consistent power through the loop. The lower AR made it easier to keep the tip from touching the snow while looping uphill. Other riders have said that the handling is more like an LEI. I agree with that assessment. The direct bar feel and looping felt just like a LEI.

Because the kite turned so well, I didn’t feel like I needed the larger kite today. It is a super fun kite!

Love to get some more comparisons between the soul and Sonic 2. Thinking of getting a 12m to replace my 11m sonic2. That soul is starting to sound like my dream one kite quiver.

Disagree with you with foil kites. I traveled to over 25 countries in 2017 with a 11m Sonic2 and split twin tip and split foil, pretty damn close to a one kite quiver. With that setup, my range was around 7-35+. I'm thinking the soul might be a little easier to handle at the top end. Sonic can be a little sketchy, mostly for launch and landing at those wind speeds.

@ Adventure Logs – A credit to you if your launching your 11m Sonic in 35+ winds (whether its MPH or knots) If I arrived at the beach to find the wind 35mph for example, I would see how others were coping and then go home. :D
