You can find a bit more here http://www.blastkiteboarding.co.uk/foru ... 3&start=15

I had a quick fly of the Alpha. It seemed to be a heavier build than the Ultra, so I guess it rather depends what you want it for.
For light wind foiling the Ultra would be my choice...mainly for its ability to keep flying and just hang in the air in the lulls. I've also been amazed to see how the Ultra can relaunch in light winds and in relatively inexperienced hands.

On Airush website Ultra 12 is 2.8kg , did put my Alpha 12 on a scale and it's 2.55kg.

Thanks, it the recommended bar length of 55cm that really makes me think. Looking to replace a 13m edge for light wind foiling and use just one bar for all my kites.

I'm in the same situation as Scoopz, but first I want to see a bit more action with the Alpha 12 m.

And seriusly, after reading a review from seabreeze, I am not very convinced to replace my beloved Edge 13m:

"upwind is very good, almost like a Reo" ... Well... Upwind is not good then.

Yeah sorry I have only had the one short session on the 12m Alpha since having it, the best thing about getting a kite like this is it will then obviously be 7m every day!

Once I've had a few more sessions on it I'll get back with better feedback on it, till then...It's an Ozone and as such has all the attributes you'd normally associate with the brand.
