Actually, riding in crowded areas scares me a lot but a drink helps calm things down.
If you don’t drink, don’t ride.

The buffalo theory:
A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And, when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine!
That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers

I remember opening my 5% alc/vol beer in the early evening watching TV news after looking at the trees with barely any wind in them...i had given up on going out !!
After 5 minutes sipping half of the 12 ounces.... the wind picks up to 15+ kn all of a sudden !!
I put the remaining beer in fridge...loaded the car with gear... and rushed to the beach a minute away
1/2 beer buzz
Was a fun hour wave session with surprise wind !!
Guzzled the other half upon my return
Funny how beer tastes much better after a session than while watching the news

Spot on! But don't you think that during your session you were subconsciously thinking about that lonely half-of-a-beer left in the fridge while you were out having fun?

Oh I love real science. This comment should end this. Smells like a troll with no purpose.

That's called a beer wind, unlike a sucker wind.

In Thailand, we used to sit on the beach drinking beer waiting for the evening thermals. I remember a really nice session on the lagoon with my first ride on an Airush Slayer, just cruising and carving. Chilling. Nice beer buzz and a big ol grin.
Might explain my smoldering desire for a v1 Slayer
