Re: On Kiteboarding / Lou Wainman | Episode # 134

i always thought Wainman kites were the best all around kites. jumping, waves, even foiling. will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Re: Introducing the World's Lightest and Strongest Kites - Aluula

every video i've seen is for the 10m Roam. Seems to me this isn't where most of the interest would be, since most 10m's are plenty good now. i certainly wouldn't pay double for something i'm already happy with. why no video's on 12m's (guess it would have to be the Flite)? most 12m's are horrible, s...

Re: why are mast tracks so far from tail of board?

Will just recite what I said - the more experienced you get, the further rear you stand. Meaning, the more experienced you get, the more forward you put the mast in the tracks. this doesn't make sense to me. putting the mast further forward and your stance further back sounds like a recipe for porp...

Re: why are mast tracks so far from tail of board?

It takes only few rides to tune in but if tracks don’t allow to move mast more back or forward, then you find yourself standing funny on the board or not having enough board space to stand. yeah, that's really my complaint here. i feel my board is virtually shortened by my most comfortable stance. ...

Re: why are mast tracks so far from tail of board?

i can't argue with those pics, but i don't see how you ride that way. i often find myself completely in front of the mast. Am usually on Armstrong 1200 cm/300 cm rear. i'm admittedly not the best foiler around, but i don't see myself moving back on my board over time. if anything, i find myself cree...

why are mast tracks so far from tail of board?

i've owned a few foil boards, and the mast tracks range from 6 to 10 inches from the rear of the board. this seems like a complete waste of space to me. i've seen some DIY boards where the mast track is right up against the tail of the board, which makes sense to me. if the board is longer, it proba...

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

-we don't need endless discussions on even more expensive equipment, that is the last thing kiteboarding needs right now. -should i shouldnt i hit the next section simply because i have a lighter kite -I thoroughly object to companies trying to take an awesome sport and turn it into an expensive te...

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

my 10M's are plenty fast (turning) enough, so i could never justify that price for them. but i've never flown a fast 12M, they're all dogs, and here's where the aluula might be worth it. would have to try before buy though, so hope they do some demo tours with the stuff.

I'm riding the 94 axis tray, it is a delight. very light, lovely deck pad. Have ridden 110 and 125 too. Sweet boards
did the width of the 125 bother you?

Re: Small pocket board - looking for recommendation/advice

that 120cm Axis board looks really wide, and at about 20.5", it is. why would they make such a wide board? also, is there any rocker to it? looks flat but they don't show the rocker anywhere. not trying to be negative, just asking questions as i'm in market for a lighter better board than i have, an...
