Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Buy whatever funds allow and the conditions at your local beach dictate. Everybody is right about the 5 being a great kite, but I've used the 11 the most by far this season (on surfboard not foil) so I'm glad I bought that first against most advice. I've probably used the 5 and 8 ten times less than...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

There is a huge difference between the sizes in how they feel and turn. The 11m feels huge compared to the 8 or 5. I ride the 11m from 11 till 19knots on a directional, the 8 from 15 till 24. The 5 above 22 knots. I can get out of the water a few knots below that, but not powered enough to ho upwind...

Re: Taxes for importing kites into the UK from a non EU country.

I ship and import a lot for work, its not uncommon to have US postal stuck on customs fir no reason. They are massively backlogged due to covid, and they weren't fast in the first place.

Re: Kite specific alaias

I've often wondered if it was possible to ride my snowsurf board with a kite. Size is 164x31cm. It does not have fins, but it has a channeled 3d base so I'm sure it would go upwind. Also foam pads instead of bindings so strapless.

Would it be too narrow?

Re: Infexion Max bar / Seatbelt Quick Release

I've not touched my depower trim since I'm using this qr. I think its because everything is closer so I can always fully sheet out within arnslength.

Are there people not using a clamcleat at all and just using a simple rope?

Re: Ocean Rodeo Soul drysuit size for 193cm x 80kg person?

I'm 186cm and 81kg and the xl fits me but its baggy. At your lenght i think the xl would fit and still enable you to move. I also have really thin wrists and the seals leak a few drops every session but not too bad. Wearing gloves over the seal this problem goes away for me. The neck and ankles font...

Re: Infexion Max bar / Seatbelt Quick Release

Off course, but SK78 is like $6 per meter, so I can buy plenty of it and throw a few spares in the car.

I was just curious if it was much smoother with a roller, I've used a carabiner with a roller before and it was not much smoother than this.

Re: Infexion Max bar / Seatbelt Quick Release

Why are you using a roller in the first place? I just have the version with the fixed closed ring and it slides very smooth on a rope bar. I may have to replace the rope eventually, but I'm pretty sure that will take a very long time and is cheap. Is there a performance benefit, I'm not noticing any...

Re: Infexion Seatbelt Quick Release
Also, does the micro leash easily switch between bars or should I order separate leash for my second bar? So I can just attach the pin side to each depower line.
As easy as a loop around a small ring. Two leashes would safe you 5 s...
