Re: Any Cquad foiling?

Ronnie, I believe you have posted in the wrong thread, showing a wingfoiler? Or is your point, at which you would be correct, that as even a really inefficient thing like a wing goes more than sufficiently upwind, and as kitefoil for the majority is not about racing and goes high upwind anyways, it...

Re: The Duotone Wing

Hi Ronnie, no, you can trim the wing by elongating the boom similar as in the past and you can even do this on the water, but it is less effectiv in my eyes, as the string with its two pulleys if attatched doesn't change its position and so also the profile especially in the center of the wings sta...

Re: The Duotone Wing

Sounds odd... The first Duotone wing is virtually indestructible, so odd if the Echo should be bad  Hi Peter, I also would say Duotone wing v1 and echo (v2) are kept simple but seem to be pretty stable but have too low experience with tube kites to evaluate. Just had two little bladder holes ...

Re: Whichard as mini chicken loop

Except, even after 18 years we are going back to Wichard :) Put it this way, NO ONE is going back to any release from 2002-2010 :) So something must be good, right? Maybe in year 2038 we will be going back to Infexion? But hardly believe I'll be able to buy it in an odd boat shop... You are missing...

Re: Whichard as mini chicken loop

... So the final release of the Wichard from the Wichard ring would be the equivalent of the BRM final release, but in this case, it would be a push away release instead of a pull release. @ ronnie Do you have some more detailed shots, on how you made the red release handle, and how it interfaces w...

Re: Whichard as mini chicken loop

wichardring.png Whats the black thing inside? I used to a material called Tecnil (common in the boats). It slides much better than any metal so there's less fiction, better felling and less damage on the hope. I never had to replace the Tecnil since it's so durable. Unfortunately I don't know how t...

Re: Whichard as mini chicken loop

Another option could be something like this, but with the flagging release being a BRM type release using the larger version of the Wichard bail above the swivel (ground to 4mm thick for the Cabrinha type release). wichardring.png redballs.png So the final release of the Wichard from the Wichard rin...
