Re: Anyone here windsurf foil?

Yeah, more wondering if anyone here has tried kiting with a SUP foil or Windsurf foil board. This is Alex Aguera kiting with a Hypernut 7' 4" by 30" 106 litre SUP board (@ 1:10). You can buy the same board modified for windsurfing and windfoiling. So you can kite foil even with a fairly big SUP boa...

Re: Wingsurfing - Intel - forum topic?

I agree. Also consider that guys are sink starting on small foilboards. Windy. But there are videos of guys sink starting . There will be a lot of experimenting with wings. Skimboarding too The bonus is its simplicity. Its not a “gear sport” Wing board foil leash 86kg rider starting a 60l board htt...

Re: Anyone here windsurf foil?

Yeah, so kiting isn't banned but swimming is, since the water barely gets above freezing they only allow watercraft that can keep you 100% out of the water. So no twin tips or normal foil boards. The other idea I had was to pick up one of those old high volume fone race boards , but I think it woul...

Re: The Naish Wing-Surfer

I am not impressed in any way I must say, so hope it is thrilling and fun if it is the "thing" 8) Peter Yeah I feel the same way about those weird hydrofoil boards  Foiling didn't really catch on at the start. Only when it became more efficient and practical did it start to really ...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Pumping on the XXLW Spitfire for me is a series of let it rise quickly then stomp on front for a slightly accelerating dive then back up. Certainly I don’t notice a need to react quicker in this department. As a Windfoil I have progressively been moving it forward and soon will be in the Sup positi...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

This is just a guess, but if the canard foil works by transferring % of the total lift back and forth between the wings depending on the angle of attack, then I expect that the pumping could be improved if the canard wings were both the same size and were closer together. That could reduce the pitch...

Re: What do i do if my kite don't flag out after pulling safety on the water?

I had a similar problem with the Cabrinha 2013 Switchblade IDS. When I flagged it out to the two front lines, it did not drop on it's back and pulled because the wind was getting stronger. Fortunately, I was standing, and when I was eventually standing in shallow enough water, I was able to move fas...
