Re: Foil polesurfing

The bigger issue I see with very light winds is they seem more prone to change direction, and if the wind is very light and swings offshore it makes paddling your gear back to shore much more difficult.

What it looks like. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5TH5fXnzao/ The same board and Neil Pryde foil, but with the Surf fuselage and a wing. If the wind is unreliable, you can have a paddle attached to the wing, so if the wind drops or disappears, you could get back using the paddle. https://www.youtube....

Re: Anyone tried foiling with a wing?

Our local crew got out last night in 30+ knots. They were finally up and powered and riding on the foil and looked to be having fun. At worst it looked like windsurfing, except it was easier to get off the beach. Just walk and paddle out then get up and go. I was kitefoiliong and had a mega struggl...

Re: Anyone tried foiling with a wing?

Flashing back to the earlier discussions of who these wings are aimed at . They are less efficient than kites or windsurfers, so not surprising that both groups of wind chasers aren't too impressed. I also follow the sup foil and surf foil forums, where there's lots of surfers with no wind sports e...

Re: Ultra short lines or wing...?

Right, the idea was to use this with kind of sup in the 100L range for 80Kg guy. Nobody except Gunnar tried this ? As per the videos on Page 1 - Gurval Lego has. https://www.instagram.com/p/B4kuX7dCz2i/ https://projet-dared.com/author/gurval/ https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=h...

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

Another alternative to Mono with a small stabiliser might be a Canard design? Nicolas seems to prefer the Spitfire XXLW for surfing and SUP. He has been using the XXLW with a wing. Quote from a French Forum. Hello in windsurf mode, no need for too big, otherwise we lose the player side, in this case...

Re: The Duotone Wing

I've tried prone paddling back against the wind towing the wing inflated, then found it easier with it deflated and rolled up. The Duotone has the advantage of having an adjustable boom, so it seemed like it would be worth checking out attaching a paddle blade. I wouldn't recommend using this one - ...
