Re: Advice for bone conduction headphones

Im using the Sony NW-WS623. I use spotify through my Garmin watch connected through bluetooth. They also come with a build in 4GB storage. Works really well, unless your wrist or head is under water. You really need to 'twist' the headphones in your ear to make them fit. They are pretty locked and c...

Re: Which gong wings

Hi Azoele, thanks for your advice. Its stated on their website as the 'GONG KITE FOIL ALLVATOR FREEWAVE FULL CARBON'. It comes with the Curve M frontwing and the 40cm kite stab. Re: Which gong wings

Thanks for the advice. I will only use it for kite foiling. My weight is 75kg so I won't go any bigger than the M wing preferably. With that in mind, I don't think it will matter the extra stiffness which the new masts have compared to the older mast. From time to time i really enjoy doing some spee...

Which gong wings

Hi, i am interested to buy the gong 'allvator 100cm carbon freeride' package. The package comes with the curve wing. Does anyone has experience with this set up?
Also interested in the fluid / veloce and kite wing experiences.
Kind regards, Matthijs

Re: Wing profile info for backyard hydrofoil builders

Hi, I am looking for a set-up that is super stable to practice tricks/transitions for kite foiling. I currently have the Slingshot NF2 with a custom CF pocket board (sometimes taking the alien air board, bigger volume easier touchdown). I weight +-75kg and ride on the north sea, choppy and waves. I ...

Re: Hot coat hints and tips

I truly underestimated it. Positive side, it gives me a new reason to build another board. This building thing got me addicted. @Downunder, thanks for the advise, will give it a go this weekend. @longwhitecloud, yes I used peelply/breather/vacuumbag. Because the peelply gives a 'rough' surface, I as...

Re: Hot coat hints and tips

I did not prepped the surface before putting the hot coat on. Straight onto the carbon which I vacuumed last week. I only sanded the rails, where there was a carbon overlap. Cleaned the board with a vacuum cleaner, compressed air and dust remove spray. 100% sure that the board was totally clean. The...

Re: Hot coat hints and tips

The ambient temperature was around 20 degrees celcius. The mixing cup was not warm, I mixed it and the poor it over in another cup and mixed it again. The previous layer is fully cured already. The tiny air bubbles are very limited, I don't care about that. I bet another layer of hot coat can fill t...

Re: Hot coat hints and tips

I just finished my first hot coat. Watched a lot of video's and followed the procedure that TomW wrote in this topic (withouth the degassing). Unfortunately I end up with a lot of dry spots. It is mainly on the painted areas, so I assume these are not completely levelled. Next to that I have some ti...
