Re: Best hydrofoil wave kite: ConceptAir Firefly vs. Flysurfer Peak 4

Here is top hat's pulley bar setting: From top hat interview that I did some years ago http://www.lesfoilz.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1255 http://www.lesfoilz.com/phpBB3/download/file.php?id=383 One of the secrets to me is to go unhooked and pump, even if it needs a lot of force similar when o...

Re: single skin variable size kite Aeros S1 Duo

Adds weight and complexity. Just make simple, inexpensive SS kites. The market needs very small sizes (less than 3 meters) 1+ about smaller than 3m One note. IMO these sizes needs to be from heavier material than bigger sizes. Load per area is MUCH bigger. 2m kite vs 12m kite is 6x bigger load if r...

Re: Ultra short lines or wing...?

Alternative would be unhooked riding with very small kite and old school style pulley bar /Google tophat bar setup/ Im actually building such setup. I also like Peter think that kite needs some line length to work. You cannot use small kite and very short lines at the same time. But this all is Terr...

Re: The best kite for Teaching?

I don’t understand why people recommend the Peak4 for beginner kiters, not that it’s a bad kite, but relaunch would be tricky for a advanced kiter and I would imagine almost impossible for a beginner? I remember my beginnings and can’t count the times I dropped my kite. :pump: Cause best relaunch i...

Re: Snowkite Video Topic

Yea. Snow-kiting is THE best kite discipline. Unfortunately optimal condition are sooo rare. /WIND, POW, BLUE BIRD at the same time on ideal spot/ Even riding perfect wave isn't as good. 3d aspect of mountain terrain is unparalleled to anything on water Foiling is next best thing for mortals with av...

Re: Jibe technique

Imo slack lines are not function of wing size at all :) And in stronger wind its almost always easier not to slack lines.
Nevertheless i absolutely prefer bigger wings but from different reasons than slack lines. Wing size are not rider weight function but more of "desired" speed range function
