Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

And btw about Peaks - if it was really 18-35mph - than it was WAAAAAY too much for what are Peaks good for. Im almost 180lbs moses onda 633 and 20 knts /ca. mph/ are my top comfortable limit /for 4/. Peaks have very good absolute range but optimum trim range is quite small and more imporantly on the...

Thanks for sharing tomtom.
Interesting concept.
Have you experimented to find the optimum length of the ‘splice’, in terms of line diameter?
Too long -> too much friction to operate
Too short -> likely to slip
As pictured works just fine. Basicaly i eyeballed minimum :)

Re: Running Splice Cleat

As pictured there is O shit handle on front line - where i can attach also normal leash - and i will if condition required it. Riding leashless on 3-5 m2 single skin kite is OK :) but this is OT Beware - backline safety dont work anymore on many new kites /SLE/ - too much rest pull But as Regis says...

Re: Running Splice Cleat

I got this kit from Jeff when I was in Corpus Christi, Texas last fall. Bought it for the release, I plan to stick with a clamcleat as I am sheeting in / out a lot with our gusty winds. His trim system is quite similar. Go to 3:30 on this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjIl46kaxC8 Yea but h...

How does it attach to your harness?
And how does the safety system work?
I use ball QR similar to BRM. It is connected to sliding ring on my harness - safety is standart one front line release.
But it is completely independent from safety and QR - you can install whatever you want. Its just trim.
