I need your honest assessment : is the kestrel 6m a good option for gusty wind > 20 knots? is it possible to self start / land in such conditions? how is the drift of the kite...

Re: Pansh Kestrel, high performance kite

Im interested. Im experienced hydrofoiler riding as small kite as possible. My biggest kite is Kitech FRS 9m. Then i have peaks /6,5,4,3/. I like both. FRS is for me best handling closed cell kite. Other closed cell can have more perfomance etc. but handling is king on FRS. Peaks have perfect handli...

Re: F-One SK8 750 vs. 650?

Hi, since a couple of weeks I have the f-one SK8 in 750 cm² (for strapless wave kite foiling) and I absolutely love it. However, I start to ask myself if the 650 cm² might be even better suited for my purposes - small wave surfing, tight carves / turns / cut backs on Baltic Sea and North Sea. The 7...

Re: strapless boards are too flat

How big is your board?

I completely agree with you. Im making all types of strapless boards Surfskate, surfboard, Foilboard, snowsurf and this is type of interface I aim for. You need to be spread on board not just standing.

The quick release is easier and far safer,
Point is it just doesnt work - you release chicken loop but kite will loop and pull on leash line see video.

Re: How to react with a death looping kite

"Control the kite: If you are still attached to the kite after releasing the safety system, try to regain control of the kite by pulling on one of the steering lines. This may help to steer the kite out of the loop and regain control." If you release kite, steering lines are most likely out of your ...
