Re: Pansh Kestrel, high performance kite

I need your honest assessment : is the kestrel 6m a good option for gusty wind > 20 knots? is it possible to self start / land in such conditions? how is the drift of the kite on a foil ? I only have a 12m Kestrel, but that one feels really big on foil. I should have bought a 10m for the range I us...

Re: Shit is about to hit the fan

Wasn’t that when they had to close the entire Fanatic brand due to being wildly over run with product the only way out was closure? I never understood this move. Fanatic and Duotone are just brands of the same company. The same people work on the boards now as before. The internal teams may have sw...

Chlorine is water is so low and generally evaporated off by the time it comes out a tap it would have zero effect of the ripstop, it's an old myth that.
Just don't wash it in a swimming pool, I think that was the point, as visible in the video.

I’d expect at least the RE pump would use a standard adapter but it looks different to me online.
The new Standard is the SUP connector. Most newer pumps use this now.

So received the Gen 3 with rope. Getting it checked from my usual online retailer but that thing looks really poorly made.
I see no problem, what are you referring to?

Edit: Ah sorry, you already answered that.

Re: Virtual assistant to launch foil kite in very high winds

I do not doubt that the Kestrel is a beast to deal with in 30kts. But for the money, I don't think we can expect it to handle and behave like a kite that costs 3x as much. Maybe I was not clear enough, high end is great on Kestrel, ONLY the LAUNCH is a little different and more difficult. You need ...

Re: The Hybrid from Flysurfer

The hybrid was initially marketed as a kite for everyone from 30kg kids to advanced foilers and I think this was a foolish brief. The qualities that make this kite safe for a lightweight kid also make it too dumbed-down for a performance rider. Hmm, really? I remember this very different. I was wai...

Re: Jamie Overbeek left Ozone

There are really not many options for him... Flysurfer is the only one I see. But Ozone was "better" for him I guess, so if he chose not to stay with Ozone, I wonder how Flysurfer could be any better? Guess he will be really be "independent".

Re: What do you think is priority?

The thing is, you and I use the "big" known brands, because we are experienced surfers/kiters/foilers and so on. But for newcomers, there are a huge market of no-name brands popping up, you and I wouldnt touch with a pole, but newcomers would not have a clue about these. This is funny, as for me it...
