Re: looking to buy CF Raptor and Need advice size and version

own a raptor extreme 138x42. rode various other boards and brands before but the CF this just great. it's very light and although it's carbon I don't find it annoyingly stiff at all. it eats smoothly through chop and provides a great edge as it sits nicely in the water. only thing I don't like on CF...

Re: Bigger board or bigger kite?

really depends on what you like to do with the kite. what's your prefered riding style? are you or do you want to get into foiling? what are the other kites in your quiver? i have 8 and 11m LEIs and a 15m foil kite which gets me going on a twintip in about 10 knots (85kg) on a 136cm board. but fun ...

Re: Kite to replace my Best TS 12M

My style is hooked in big air and all around play. I like the light feel with massive boost and big range and not into the grunty types (Crossbows etc..). if this is what you are looking for there is no way around the Ozone Edge v10. the LEI kite with the highest aspect ratio that will allow you to...

Re: Forecast Websites and/or Apps

ikitesurf has a proprietary 2km model (free only in the app). it seems to adjust the forcast by local conditions - at least in the US for different regions. it's by far the most accurate one and every serious kiter here uses it.

Re: Moses 695 Setup

i ride my 695 with a 425 stab which makes it a bit racier and track better compared to 330. i think the 425 it's pretty similar to the 450 but didn't try it out yet. also i don't shim the stab. didn't feel the need to do so but might be worth a try as you seem to have good experience with it. so far...

Re: "Beginner" kites

funny I rode the DNA for my first couple years on the water. I would say "if it ain't broken, don't fix it". you seem to be happy with your kite and maybe just feeling some peer pressure from others with newer kites. but honestly if you like your kite stick with it - your experience won't change dra...

Re: Duotune Evo vs Rebel

owned both and for a beginner would definately recommend the evo. doesn't mean it's not a good kite. look at a lot of pros this year start using the evo instead of dice or rebel (edgar ulrich, reno romeu...). the evo is simply one of the most versatile kites on the market and you can't do anything w...

Re: Which all around/ freeride kite has the best hang time?

Ozone Edges are higher aspect than any other freeride kite so they deliver max air time in LEI space. I can compare them directly to XR, Rebel, Evo and the Edge delivers undeniably the longest airtime. They can get you also to incredible height and smaller sizes <10m loop very well despite high AR. ...

Re: What is with prices?

wrt prices for foil kites and aluula i think manufacturers run much lower economies of scale. slower turning and smaller production batches of niche products can increase the cost per item by a lot (non-linear relationship). i think the indirect distribution system through local dealers is inefficie...
