Re: Surfr vs Woo

I love the simplicity of surfr. Just put in in a drybag around your neck and start jumping. They've tested both and it's not less accurate. Only you can't see the height realtime, which I actually prefer to stay "in the kiteboarding moment". No need at all for the board mount. Also their vision on d...

Re: 2018 North Rebel 12m vs Neo 10m?

Hey there, I've been on various of the kites you listed. My two cents if it helps. (Also 75kg) Fully agree with knotwindy on the different types of kite. Neo's are indeed really wave riding focused, I found them lacking especially in hang time. Even though for the first years they do the trick, the ...

Re: Surfr app problem

I had the same battery problem in a pretty new XR. Turning down the screen brightness helps a lot. But makes it hard to see in sunlight. I try to balance it a little and start surfr from inside the car where it's darker. Real pain in the @ss. BTW, this is iOS messing with the app, with new updates i...

Re: Cape Town diary

Thanks hugh. That really helps. Did our first downwinder today from kitebeach to holbaai. So nice <3. Mini waves but fun. Used our car but wasnt optimal as you have basically need two to put it there. Do you just take the bus with all your wet/sandy gear?

Re: Cape Town diary

Hi Hugh, love reading your story's really got me into the cpt mood (arrived day before yesterday). I was wondering where do you get your nice wind measurements from? Can't seem to find an accurate weather station. Cheers!

Re: Cape Town diary

Nice read once again. Haven't seen any penguins on the capetown side in my 1,5 months there a couple of years ago. They live around cape point. Whales neither, that would be awesome!

Re: Why Nazare has the biggest wave

Love that explanation! Curious to see if we get to see any kiting (or wingsurfing) on it this season.

Actual south Africa travel ban topic

Hi, Since the other topic was hijacked by our beloved anti-vax community. Can we please keep this one sensible and on-topic? Any news from South Africa? I know KLM is still flying. How is everything on the ground in Cape Town? Any restrictions flying back? We are going mid Jan (From NL), curious abo...

Can't offer any advice, but I wanted to give kudos on that super clear comparison. Thanks Blackened. Always wondered how these kites differed.
