Re: Apple Watch Apps compared for Freeriding

The WOO app for Apple Watch has significantly matured since the review. In fact, it was completelly redesigned and re-written. Now it is fully functional for everyone - no WOO necessary. You can upload and share your sessions in WOO app - all for free. And it is the only app dedicated to kitesurfin...

Re: Prevent losing board to ocean

One place I like to kite has very large chop, you lose sight of your board in a few seconds plus there are cross currents. Body dragging has worked for me even when losing sight, if you guess well enough where it is. I get a little worried about a leash since there is reef near by and if the leash w...

Re: Core Sensor 3 chicken loop releasing on it own

I had this issue twice. Not saying this is your case, but in my case I realized the QR was not properly inserted into the latch mechanism. It's not exactly intuitive, and it's possible to incorrectly put the metal loop (from the chicken loop) up too high and slide the top cover down, and think you ...

Re: Apple Watch Apps compared for Freeriding

@aleks One feature that is missing is the ability to combine multiple sets of big air data with a single freeride session that has pauses in it. If you upload just multiple big air session without free ride data this is easy to do as it prompts you for it so I am surprised this isn't working for fre...

Re: The easiest Big Air kite

Learning Big Air jumping is a lot of proper technique and precise timing. Each kite will have a different timing profile with wind speed being an extra variable. As an "easy" big air kite for progression you want something that is more forgiving on the timing and ideally a bit slower. I recently tri...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

Hey I'm looking for some advice on getting my next foiling kite. Currently I have XR6 8/11m which kinda sucks for foiling and Soul 15m which is way better. Could someone put bullet points for pro/cons of getting Souls vs Airush Ultra or single strut Contra? I'm considering Soul 9 or 10m to be added...

@aleks

Will/does the GPS data freeride session feature and sync with woo device feature come to the garmin watch app? Asking for a couple of friends.

Re: Apple Watch Apps compared for Freeriding

That issue should be fixed now! I guess there is no way to go back and change a posted session from big air to freeride? That one session is still stuck as big air... I'm really enjoying the jump distance feature, with the Woo syncing with the GPS data! WhatsApp Image 2021-07-03 at 8.57.33 PM.jpeg ...

Re: Best bar system and why...

I have tried Cabrinha, Core, Ozone and North. The latest version of the North Control bar is my favorite. The ergonomic grip that sits in the crease of your fingers makes it the most comfortable bar I have ever used. PU covered center lines is a must, for one handed use. Only thing I maybe wish for ...
