Re: Aspect Ratio versus straps and strapless?

Hi Peter, I know exactly what you're talking about. As I have the same issue with the larger span wings. My natural stance has my front foot toes on the centerline but not over. When riding and carving swell, I get thrown occasionally because the foil does not turn the way I want/expect. My front fo...

Re: Evolution of struts

Thanks for the info on this strut/ mast, as it would be the perfect upgrade for someone looking for a longer Lift mast. Would be a nice single mast to use for both kitefoil and wingfoil, as it must be stiff for the large wings. I like the Project Cedros mast design and concept, but at 91cm max lengt...

Re: Ultimate foil for surf skate like quick carves?

I agree with most on here about the Lift classic foils, they just have everything I could want in a foil. I can do anything with it, it's a jack of all trades, and key is that it doesn't drop you, it's skatey, nimble and quick. I have both the 150 and 170 classic. At 200 pounds, I find that my favor...

Re: Wingfoil versus Kitefoil?

I find that I enjoy kitefoiling much more then wingfoiling. Wingfoiling is ok for me as it is a different discipline and different workout, but I find I can do everything and have way more fun on a kitefoil than I can on wingfoil. Also, everything about the wingfoil is bigger and bulkier, wing foil ...

Re: a seat harness you can bend at the waist with? does it exist?

I have been using the Dakine Nitrous short harness for the last 15 years. I had a used a Dakine seat harness before that, and it felt bulky and restrictive in comparison. I couldn't stand waist harness because they just ride up and are very uncomfortable for me. The Nitrous just feels like your wear...

Re: Slingshot ghost 4m buckling under high winds starting loads.

I've had the exact same problem with the Ghost. The 2 times I've tried the 2.5M Ghost, the wingtips fold on water start, and loose all power. Complete turn off. I've also flown the 3M UFO a few times, and this kite does not have this issue. The reason the Ghost has the problem, is the wing tips are ...

Re: High wind foiling

I use a BRM Cloud 2.8M from 16-24 knots average and a 2.2M from 23-35+ knots average. I also have a 3.7M that I have used a few times with a range of 13-18 knots average. I find the BRM sizing ideal, as you need smaller gaps in the smaller kite range. It's way more fun to be on the right size kite, ...
