Re: South Padre Kite Round-up

Can't wait to get down there on Sunday. I've been hitting the cable lake up here near San Antonio for a few days to get ready.

Hey Lightwave Dave, make sure your girlie wears her bikini for the slider contest. You have that advert in the magazines, so you can't let us down now! :P

Re: Is it different with short lines ?

Stretch of the lines has nearly nothing to to with pop - that´s a myth. If You have 30 m dyneema lines with a breaking stretch of ~ 1 % or 30 cm You will have a stretch of some 5 cm while "loading" the lines. The energy stored by this stretching will only pull You 2-3 cm higher than if ther...

Re: why is BEST so full of crap?

nobody should buy a kite based on these forum reviews, which are mostly planted by employees and dealers, and ridiculuos tag lines like "best kite ever" and "makes all other kites obsolete. Who's reviews should we listen to? What's a better way? What choice do we have? Nice job bitching but why don...

I'm curious about pop with shorter lines. Popping with the kite has alot to do with the elasticity of the lines, shorter lines stretch less, do shorter lines have a negative effect on popping? I am mostly referring to raleys and unhooked stuff where you don't send it. BTW, I'm just to lazy to try an...
