Re: Difficulty landing with the Duotone rebel.

They are great videos, watched them multiple times. Don't get quite the same result myself though !!

Think next time out on a lighter day I'll give it another go.

Re: Difficulty landing with the Duotone rebel.

I tried a few down loops on landing but just got yanked down wind or pulled off balance after gaining a lot of speed on landing. Watch a video with Blake on YouTube, but he just makes it look so effortless, I didn’t get the same sensation when I tried it.

Re: Difficulty landing with the Duotone rebel.

Long story short: If you jump high, learn to heli-loop.
If only it was that easy

Re: Difficulty landing with the Duotone rebel.

I recently switched to Rebels and they have transformed my ability to jump (11,9 and 7m). We have had so much wind this last 7 days I've had my 7m out three times and I have struggled to land most of the jumps (not built up the confidence to throw a heli loop yet, I don't think 35 knot plus wind is ...

I think that is pretty amazing. Be great for teaching so you can watch foot position on the board and then watch again but focused on the kite. Much less distorted than most of the 360 videos I've seen.

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

In the comment with the video, is the chap hinting that this kite will fly when foil kites won’t? I just can’t see this being the case.

Re: Duotone Rebel 2020 vs RRD Addiction 2020

Can't comment on the RRD, but I switched to Rebels at the start of the year and I think they are brilliant. Anything below 16 knots and I'd be on my foil, but in 16-18 knots I'm happily kiting on an 11m and I am 106kg. The wind range is so big on the Rebel, I don't think you'd see much difference be...

Re: 2019 Trust bar swivel

It’s the square plastic part which has gone stiff. Spent some time running water over it and rotating and it seems better. Dropped the upper part out to look inside but you can’t really see anything. Maybe I just need to focus a bit more on that part when washing the bar, as I say I only noticed on ...

2019 Trust bar swivel

I think this is called the “roto” head. How easily should this spin? Always wash my bar after every session but noticed on the water today it was really tight, to be honest it was my first day trying back rolls etc, so I’ve never really had to unwind my centre lines much before.
