Re: Gear that has exceeded your expectations!

First time out on my 9m 2019 Duotone Rebel. Just blown away at how good the kite is. Done more jumps in the 2 hours I was out than last season 😂. Going to make a huge difference to my progression and confidence in the air. I thought the 11m I bought a few months back was good, but the 9m is amazing....

Re: Single strut kite wind speed?

Above 15mph pretty much anything will fly. I don’t know much about Boxer kites, but if they have plenty of depower on the bar and a bit of drift, you’ll be good to go. I had a 9m Enduro which on either the freestyle or wave setting was amazing on the foil. Reasonably light 3 strut kite that turned r...

Re: Ride engine harness fit, rides up

Have you fed the webbing back through to stop the straps from loosening off? Had mine for about a year now (had a Mystic Warrior before which rode up badly), can’t fault it to be honest. Felt a lot more comfortable than any harness I’d used before.

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

Doesn’t seem to hold its shape in the air very well?

I find this a bit disrespectful if I’m being honest. Random images in parts of the clip and a newsreader telling the story with a beaming smile. Old news with a sad and tragic outcome.

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

But I thought a lot of kites this year were being designed to allow them to twist to help responsiveness and yet this material is claiming to make the frame stiffer? Something just doesn’t add up. Be good to demo one once they are in UK, but I’m not convinced you will get a 12m kite as responsive as...

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

So if I’m reading this correct, I could get a kite that will fly in really light winds but still no more powerful in comparison to a kite of similar size so I couldn’t actually get out on my twin tip and use it? Can see the buzz from foiling and if you love big kites but otherwise why would you pay ...

Not sure my body would cope with many landings like that. Amazing skill though.

We are off to Rhodes, thanks for the replies though.

Went to Naxos as few years back, nice place but a bit quiet for my girls.

Been to El Gouna, was a few years ago but I don’t remember the eating experience anywhere other than the hotel I was staying in being a memorable experience.
