Re: Effect of backstall on looping speed

I have asked a lot of other kiters about backstall, no one ever told me any reason/any advantage of it.???? I feeel it is a great way on board to catch up to the kite if it is moving fast. Maybe backstall helps me with the ‘pendulum effect’, most likely it helps me correct(get away with) poor jump t...

Re: Dangers of strapless

I get niggling knee and ankle injuries surfing. From landing on the flats or fin cavitation and back foot slipping off with front foot loaded through top turn. With kite and surfboard, never had any injuries, perhaps boards break/fold around foot to fore most fins and save me. Always disappointing t...

Re: Pulsating kite

I watched a kite pulsing (racing forward a metre or so then drifting back) 2 or 3 times a second on the edge of the window. Initially I thought it was a kite problem. After watching closely I felt the rider was very overpowered and losing edge pressure, then regaining it as he bounced along. So I co...

Re: Another leash idea?

I bet if I attached the wing leash to front of board, I would fall off and watch a riderless luffed wing foil away! I would be left watching thinking get **** it is not that easy!

Re: Take Foil apart always after use?

New to foiling, also worried about thread’s seizing. greased the …. Out of everything with a ‘lock tight’ silicone based tap grease. I have a tube. What an incredible sand magnet, fml! Have used solvent to clean off threads, and now thinking 2 rounds of thin Teflon tape is better. Just applying, tig...

Re: Whip or Wam?

I have a board, similar outline to wam. 5’11” with medium sized rounded square tail. Snapped 6” off the nose mid session. It made the board slightly lighter moved the balance point of the board backward. Suddenly landing jumps became easier/more consistent. I repaired the board as a shovel nose, a f...

Re: Wave kite vs Aluula Light wind comparison @GKA Morocco

Watched the first clip and focused on kites- imo, OR kite appears a size larger than north kite. Line length of OR kite also appears slightly longer(1m?). Watching later clips I noticed the amount of time spent manually untwisting front lines on OR bar. Initially I thought it was unhooking, but then...
