Re: "Spin-out" with SabFoil Medusa Pro 869?

I've gone out a few times kite foiling on the 669, 703k fuse, 380 stab, 90 cm Cedrus mast. Went out in a wide variety of wind conditions from 10 knots all the way up to 25 knots. No notable issues with unexpected diving for me. It's pretty pitch sensitive, so in strong conditions occasionally some s...

Re: Bar for foiling

I have doubts it'll work well also for the same reasons alekbelia cited, but would be very stoked to be proven wrong. I fully appreciate and approve of experimentation! That's what I love about our sport - there's endless ways to innovate. Another idea to consider - instead of rotating the way you'v...

Re: Protection against the sun

I hate putting on sunscreen esp on my face because it always comes off and gets smeared on my sunglasses, making them become blurry over the course of my session and its impossible to wipe clear while you're on the water. I've tried neck gaiters designed for fishing that have air holes, but they don...

Re: Base plate standards today?

Cedrus masts use 140x90 in the strong and the lightweight base plates. 165x90 in the eccentric base plate only.

Re: Pump vs foilboard

I don't know if it's a new category. Kite foilers have been on micro boards for many years already. But it has been interesting to see companies make "pump" foil boards and market them as only that. I don't see why they wouldn't also call them kite foil boards unless they think that decreases their...

Re: Wow, he got so lucky!

This is why I attach a 12 inch (approximately) long loop of 1.5mm cord to the pump attachment loop on each of my kites. In windy conditions I just thread my wrist through the loop. No chance of the kite getting away from me. Makes for a handy way to anchor my kite too when I’m drying it out. Just ta...

Re: Why is wingfoiling so popular?

... can barely ride upwind . I have seen quite a few wing foilers swim back to shore with deflated wings in the last week. I didn't know it was hard to go upwind with a foil... :nono: seriously, I never saw a beginner struggling to go upwind with a wing after he learned how to fly (indefinetely). I...

Re: Pansh Kestrel, high performance kite

It is indeed :) At 1:39:21 - https://youtu.be/3iw3DvMBrGw?t=5961 Interesting to watch, thanks for the link. As a side note, I found it interesting to see that in jibes they seem to prefer fly the kite overhead rather than downloop. Is this more efficient or is it just because of the slow turning of...
