I've been remodeling my house and all my kites are in the back of my truck.. Easy to break into and steal em.!!!
I was thinking of putting a cargo box on top for better security and was wondering if anyone has had issues with the kites and heat when leaving them in there all the time.

I've used aquaseal on pinholes and its worked like a charm. I have an 06' crossbow that I've put aquaseal on the pinholes and it still looks and has held up great.... even used it to repair some rips in the kite (about 3-5 inch rips). Definately have to glue both sides with the rips though.

Here's a few more techniques for self launching and landing . Self launch at about :25 and the self land at about the 2:38 mark. Prolly not recomended but the vid is entertaining.

I just got my line mount and was wondering if anyone has done any backrolls or any other tricks where the lines can get twisted up. Does that pose any safety and or controll issues?

SF Bay Area is a great place to go to school and kite. Spring, Summer and Fall are the best times of the year to kite. You'll need at least a 4/3 wetsuit because the water is cold. The only downside is that you'll need to have a vehicle to get to the kite spots, Waddell, Sherman, Third, Alameda and ...
