I got a session in yesterday. 16 knots gusting to 21. 8" tires at 275 kPa. Wet sand at low tide. I was going upwind with a 4.0 wing. Rider weight: 57 kg. At the end of the session, I was powered on a beam reach, and I think I could have lowered the tire pressure a little to absorb the bumps.

What is a good tire pressure for 8" tires on wet sand?

So 8" wheels on hard-packed wet sand might be about the same as a foilboard?

My local beach usually gets afternoon cross-shore winds in the summer: 15 kts gusting to 20, or 20 gusting to 25, depending on the day. I bought a Slingshot Dart 4.0, which is recommended for 16-23 kts, for riders under 165 lbs (75kg). Does a mountain board need more power than a foilboard?

Are the T1 tires grippy enough for wet sand?

The only size of Amsteel that is 8 strand is 2.5mm. All the other sizes are 12 strand so I should be good to go.
