I was going to post something about the ease of ARC self-launching, but was beaten to it by two others who obviously enjoy the same freedom. One day a couple of years back the usual suspects were at the beach and the wind was dead, dead....dead. But we were all in denial and hung out regardless. Jus...

It would be easier to solve if we had a pic of the problem. My suggestion is to cut off the inside corners of the straps at 45 degree angle where they would overlap (probably need tin snips or something to cut through the webbing, etc.). Once you've trimmed the edges, use a lighter or something to m...

Bar size for the 9m Shadow?

Hey guys,

One more question: What size bar are you using with the WingWarp on the 9m Shadow (or 8m Alpina for that matter).

I have 65cm and 85cm bars, and wonder which one would be more appropriate.

Thanks

Oh! I just had an idea for you, Sojourner. Since with the bar all the way depowered, the kite is collapsing a bit, how about if you limit the amount of movement by putting a figure eight or overhand knot in the little limit line of the Wingwarp? When I talked with the guys at Pegas they said ...

Thanks sojourner for the input. I contacted Pegas, and it was suggested to try both the A&B lines (plus tips) on the power lines, with only the C on the pulley. It makes sense that this would help out with the leadingh edge collapse you're having, but probably have a bit less overall depower as well...

So, can you describe how it makes it better? Depower, turning, etc.

Does the kite overfly when you sheet it out? I have a Shadow 9m I'm thinking of modding. The WingWarp is nice and cheap. Did you spend much time fiddling with the brake adjustmensts when installing it?
