Re: EpicKites (3rd Generation. 3G kites)

Just wanted to say thanks again to Dimitri/Epic for a great surprising day.. We're currently down in Hatteras/OBX on our shop trip from NJ ..and had some down time today to visit with Dimitri and pick up a replacement strut bladder for our shop Infinity Demo Kite.. The wind has been on down here for...

Re: correct launching

As mentioned above, communication is key when launching an "unknown.." Perfect scenario both launcher and pilot are experienced and will work off each other with the proper movements/adjustments to achieve a successful launch.. (but this often leaves far too many assumptions open for interpretation ...

Re: Kitesurfing sunglasses - any breakthroughs yet?

Re: Removing Deckpads?

Have had decent results removing deck pads/adhesive using heat (carefully with heat-gun) and penetrating oils like WD-40, PB-Blaster, etc... The heat tends to soften the adhesive allowing for easier pad removal, and the penetrating oils tend to saturate and break down the adhesives nicely --can spra...

Re: Need Help - Solution for surfer that has correction glasses

Wound up going with a pair or Prescription Sunglasses from Sliverfish (www.silverfish.com) a few years back and am really happy with them --great quality, optics, fit, integrated strap/lanyard, etc.. all still in great shape after a few years.. The S-Rat frames work nice for higher prescriptions (ni...

Re: Good light wind kite

Talking deal/price wise another option could be an ’08 RRD HT II 15M.. Lots of grunt, nice feedback/feel on the bar, and decent response for a larger kite.. also received a lot of buzz as being an awesome light wind kite.. Might be able to still find one new for super cheap and I just so happen to h...

Re: Self launching sle the old fashioned way..

I may be a bit biased, but am a fan and long time user of the fixed point "anchored" means when it comes to self launching and landing SLE/"High-Depower" type Kites --a reliable fixed anchoring means just takes so many variables out of the solo landing/launching mix ..(not to mention variables from ...

Re: The Safest Way To Launch & Land Solo !

A reliable anchoring means for solo fixed point (ghost) launching/landing really takes so many variables out of the solo landing/launching mix ..(not to mention variables from assisted launches/landings from unknown/unqualified individuals as well).. The "KiteBuddy" Self Launching/Landing Aid has a ...

Re: RRD Hypertype II 15m Replacement

I agree with the Obsession being "the" replacement for the Hypertype 2 (HTII) –as mentioned, really sweet kite (bias aside from being an RRD rep:), great bar feedback and turning response, good power through turns, and pretty impressive low end as well –have been impressed on the 10.5 Obsession on s...
