Re: Anyone try S26 Pivot 12m?

I haven't flown the S26 12m, but have a 10 and the new bar. The 10 only has two adjustments on the bridle for bar pressure, I'm not sure about the 12m, but take a peek. The 10 flies great, but I prefer the bar pressure on the older bar. The new one is now being used as the back-up, as the light pres...

Re: Kite Quiver Advice

We had the kites before we met, and just changed out my older set and are now on a 7/8/9/10 quiver of Pivots between the two of us.

Re: Duotone wam size

I just used the 2022 Wam for the first time yesterday and it was way to floaty for my liking. I weigh 65kg and rode the 5'8'', and it was really hard to get an edge to go upwind. I'd recommend trying one out if you have a chance. I've ridden the new Cabrinha board and like that one, personally I rid...

Re: Texas kiting and windsurfing

Second what everyone has said about Corpus. Can find wind on many directions. Haven’t been to SPI since the flats closed, but save the drive and find all that the CC area has to offer. Looking forward to the downwinder and demo days with kiteboarding.com!!

Re: First surfboard

What kind of water are you riding in? Chop, waves, or flat? This will determine if you want a flat nose or pointed. For someone your size, regular surfboard would probably 5'8'' ish. I am 160 lbs and ride a 5'6''. I'd recommend buying a decent used board and get used to the feel of a surfboard, take...

Re: Lightwind twintip kite

Standard material Duotone Juice 15m (2020) is surprisingly fast to fly with light bar pressure. Feels more like a 12m. Would recommend trying one, or picking one up second hand. The Juice has good power to get up and flies well once you’ve planes. I’d recommend it out of the suggestions offered. I’...

Re: Kite question

Great question - really all of the kites made now days will work fine for a beginner. If you've flown the Cabrinha and feel good, it will get you up and going. As a school kite, it's probably been through some rougher handling, but take a peek if the price is right. I'd personally choose the North (...

Re: Vacation in the Keys?

Agree with most of the other posts out there. Have kited near Islamorada, but stayed further south. There's very limited space for beach launches, but water is flat that makes water launches super easy. The nice thing is that if you have a boat or can drive, there is somewhere to kite on almost any ...
